Nameplate measures, forecasts and helps put to use curtailment: the clean energy Brazil cuts before it reaches anyone.
Nameplate is a software layer that measures, forecasts and helps put to use renewable-energy curtailment in Brazil’s Northeast. A free public dashboard at nameplate.com.br shows the accumulated waste in near real time, built on ONS open data with a published methodology; the next step is forecasting, 24 to 72 hours ahead, where and when energy will go unused. It is an applied research project led by teacher Vinícius Lisboa with students of ECIT Henrique Fernandes de Farias, in Curral de Cima, Paraíba.

The brand
The symbol is two bars: the top one is nameplate capacity (what the turbine’s plate promises), the bottom one is actual delivery, and the yellow segment is the gap between the two. Write Nameplate in running text and nameplate. (lowercase, with the full stop) when using the wordmark.
